Wall Ornament - Pressed Flower Butterflies

In 2024, after my neighbor had passed, I wanted to create something for his the wife and daughter (friends of mine). We were all monarch enthusiasts. I had some left over pressed Black Eyed Susans from a previous project, along with some wooden disc in stock for the pet portrait ornaments I paint each year.  I thought of the idea to make the flowers into butterflies and mount them to the wooden discs and seal them in epoxy.  After I had gifted them, I was encouranged to make more....so they we are!

Locally sourced NH birch and garden flowers from my yard. Pressed for several weeks, then carefully arranged into unique butterflies, sealed in epoxy. 

To help reduce the natural effects of color fading, do not hang in direct sunlight.
